Leota Mae Gray
Leota Mae Gray, 88, of St. Joseph, MO, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2007.
She was born on July 11, 1918 to Roy N. and Ollie Mae (Amos) Anderson in Agency, MO where she grew up and attended the #5 one room school in the Frazier Community.
On January 19, 1937 she was united in marriage to Lloyd Mark Gray. After their marriage they lived in rural Buchanan County until 1962 when they moved to St. Joseph where they made their home. Lloyd preceded her in death on November 25, 2000.
She was a member of the Swiss Paris and Squares and the YMCA Promenader’s, both in St. Joseph.
Leota was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Cleo and Cecil Anderson, son-in-law, Ronald Knadler, grandson, David Knadler and a nephew, Ronald Anderson.
She is survived by two daughters, Patsy L. Lawson and husband, Charles, Stanberry, MO, and Nancy A. Knadler, Easton, MO; one son Larry L. Gray and wife, Eva, Stewartsville, MO; five grandchildren, Warren, Ronda, Brad, Jeff, and Kim; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m. Friday March 16th at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower
Burial: Frazier Cemetery, Frazier
Visitation: 6:30-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
