LEONA O’SULLIVAN

Leona O’Sullivan, 104, of Smithville, MO, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2006, at her home.

She was born on September 23, 1902 to Jacob Meritus and Mary (Tichlofen) Schmitt in Burlington, Wisconsin where she grew up and graduated from high school.

On February 17, 1921 she was united in marriage to Eugene P. O’Sullivan. After their marriage they lived in many towns in Illinois, spending over 30 years in Park Ridge, Illinois. Her husband preceded her in death in 1986 and in 1999, Leona moved to Smithville.

She was a member of St. Paul’s of the Cross in Park Ridge where she was in the Altar Society and Rosary Society.

Leona was also preceded in death by her daughter; Jean Mary Howard and four sons, James, Martin, Richard and Donald O’Sullivan, grandson; Eugene Howard and one brother, Henry Tichlofen.

She is survived by numerous grandchildren including Patricia Reinoso and Terri Ormond, both of Smithville and many great and great-great-grandchildren.

Entombment: 10:00 A.M., Saturday, December 30th, at All Saints Mausoleum, Des Plaines, Illinois.

Donations: St. Luke’s Hospice
