Leo Wade

Leo Wade, 92, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2017 in Lincoln, NE, where he had been living since 2014.
 
He was born on February 27, 1925 to Guy Wade and Effie (Arnold) Wade.  He was a long-time resident of rural Gower, Missouri.  
 
Leo graduated from high school in Edgerton, Missouri.   From there he attended The Conservatory of Music in Kansas City, Missouri.  He worked for National Insurance in Kansas City for many years.  He taught piano lessons in Smithville and Edgerton for 30 years.  He and his family operated Wade’s Antiques in rural Gower, Missouri.  Leo also had a part time home for over 30 years in White Cloud, Kansas where he and family and friends gathered to set up for the annual flea markets.  He met and made many lifetime friends and many memories for all during White Cloud flea markets.  
 
Leo loved his dogs, and gave good homes to many rescued dogs through the years. Leo loved visiting and socializing, he never met a stranger.    
 
Leo is survived by his nephews Vern Buis, Lincoln, NE, Leo Buis, Smithville, TX and niece Karen Buis, Lincoln, NE; as well as great nephews John Buis (Lincoln, NE), and Ryan Urbanec and wife Ann, Lincoln, NE.  
 
Graveside Service:  2:00 p.m. Friday, December 8th at Number Six Cemetery, rural Gower.
 
Donations may be made to Number Six Cemetery.
