Lena F. (Wade) Baber
Lena F. Baber, 96, of Platte City, MO, passed away, Sunday April 17, 2011 at Hillview Nursing and Rehab in Platte City, MO.
She was born on May 18, 1914 to Porter Christopher and Mona M. (Boydston) Wade near Platte City, Missouri. She grew up in Platte County and graduated from Camden Point High School
On October 7, 1933 she was united in marriage to George Melvin Baber. After their marriage they lived in rural Platte County where they farmed and made their home. Her husband, George, passed away, August 9, 2006.
She was a member of the Hoover Christian Church.
She is survived by her sons, John M. Baber and wife Patsy, and Robert W. Baber and wife Pat, all of Platte City; grandchildren, Susan Miller, Steven Baber and wife Linda, James Baber and wife Margaret, Jeff Baber and wife Robin; eight great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 21st at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Burial: Ridgely Cemetery.
Donations may be made to the Hoover Christian Church.
