LaVelle Rand

Wilma LaVelle Rand was born 8/30/1936 in Windsor, MO. She died on 10/12/2024. Her parents were Wilma (Moore) Rand and Charles Edwin Rand. She grew up in Carterville, MO. Her siblings are Charles Edwin Rand, Jr., Donna Rand and Keith Rand. Her daughter’s name is Donna (Fojas) McKown, her husband James Alan McKown. Her niece is Debi (Rand) Greek. Her grandson James Andrew McKown, his wife April (Smith) McKown, great grandchildren E.J. McKown and Emersyn McKown. Jeremy Alan McKown her grandson and his wife, Brittany (Rospierski) McKown.

She graduated from Carterville High School and was valedictorian of her class. She also attended Joplin Junior College.

She enjoyed quilting, knitting, playing the piano, and spending time with her family.

She will be greatly missed. Please send any donations to the American Brain Foundation.
