Laura Evelyn (Vermillion) Bullington

Laura Evelyn (Vermillion) Bullington, 68, of Smithville, MO, formerly of Waynesville, MO passed away Thursday, February 19, 2009 at her home.

She was born on January 29, 1941to Nathine “Nat” and Emerine (Rogers) Vermillion in Indianapolis, Indiana where she grew up and attended school.

On January 20, 1961 she was united in marriage to David Thomas Bullington. She spent her adult life as a military wife and a loving mother of three daughters. In 1988 they retired in Waynesville, MO and in 2007 they moved to Smithville, MO.

Laura was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Sharon, Tennessee.

She was preceded in death by her parents and eight brothers and sisters, Bradie, Rosemary, J.C. Nat, Jr., and Norman Vermillion, Addie McGuire, Myrtle Scott and Mildred Shunke.

The family members she leaves are her husband, David T. Bullington, of the home, three daughters, Carolyn Shea Bullington, Kansas City, MO, Sherrilyn K. Goerke and husband David, Smithville, MO, and Kimberly S. LaCoste and husband, Tony, Grants Pass, OR; three grandchildren Thomas D. Goerke, Brandon LaCoste and Krystle LaFlamme; one great-granddaughter, Jessa LaFlamone; two brother, Leo and Donald Vermillion; and one sister, Juanita Campbell, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Graveside Service: 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 22^nd at I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Smithville, MO

Visitation: 2:00-3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville
