Larry Richard DuBois
Larry Richard DuBois, 67, of Smithville, MO passed away, Monday, June 4, 2012 at his home.
He was born on December 7, 1944 to Richard Allen and Dorothy Louise (Humphrey) DuBois in Smithville, MO where he grew up and in 1962 graduated from Smithville High School. After his graduation he served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. After his honorable discharge he returned to Smithville.
On December 11, 1964 he was united in marriage to Donna Gayle Shepherd. After their marriage they lived in Smithville where they built their home on the family farm.
He was a member of the Hoover Christian Church where he served as a Deacon.
Larry retired in 2006 as a mechanic from American Airlines/TWA. He was the crew chief for the 5j Racing Team, loved fishing and most of all being with his family.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Larry is survived by his wife of 47 ½ years, Donna; children, Kelly Jones and husband Kevin and David DuBois, all of Smithville, MO; grandchildren, Jimmy and Quinton Brown; great-granddaughter, Zoey Brown, his father, Richard “Dick” DuBois; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 7th at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville with visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
Burial with Military Honors: Smithville Memorial Cemetery
