Larry McDonald

Lawrence “Larry” Eugene McDonald age 71, of Gladstone MO, left this world on September 13, 2023. 

He was born on November 25, 1951 to Lee and Dorothy McDonald. Larry grew up in Sibley, Levasy, and Independence Missouri. He graduated from Fort Osage High School in 1969.

He was preceded in death by both parents, his little brother Randy McDonald, and his niece Amanda McDonald. Survivors include his wife Cathy of Gladstone MO; his daughters, Amber Toates (Nick Reynolds) and Aubrey Wilson (Richard) both of Blue Springs MO; his grandchildren, Alaynna, Richard, Logan, Jake, Alyvia, Katelin, Alexis, and Destiny; his brothers David (Cindy) McDonald and Calvin “Ed” McDonlad; and sister, Elizabeth “Betsy” McDonald. He had many friends in the music community. 

He will be sadly missed and will always hold a special place in our hearts. 

A celebration of life for Larry will be scheduled at a later date.

    I am so sorry to hear about Larry.Me and Larry go back aost 45 years,back to the Fun House, Club 291, and few others .I love to hear him sing and play the drums. He was a great person sometimes hard headed, but he was always sweet to me and my whole family .I am sending prayers to all his family. Rest in peace Larry, no pain any more .You will be missed .
