Larry Kenneth Jensen

Larry Kenneth Jensen, 53, of Gower, MO passed away Thursday December 12, 2013.

 

Larry was born on May 31, 1960 to Orval Lloyd and Zelma Marlise (Gutscher) Jensen in Pomona, KS.  Larry attended school in Stockton, MO and graduated from East Buchanan High School in 1978.

 

On December 19, 1989 he was united in marriage to Tracey Suzanne Owen in California.  After their marriage they lived in Gower where they made their home.

 

Larry worked for O.L. Jensen Contracting with his father and later worked for Henke Manufacturing Company in Leavenworth, KS.

 

He attended the Gower Christian Church.  Larry enjoyed fishing, woodworking and fishing.  He was a loving son, husband, father and Poppy, always putting his family first. 

 

Larry was preceded in death by his grandparent, Harry and Bessie Jensen and Claude Gutscher.

 

He is survived by his wife, Tracey; his children, Kenny Jensen and wife Jackie, Gennifer Snow, and Jordan Jensen; foreign exchange student, Christoph Lang; grandchildren Bryson, Jacob and Kalea and soon to be born granddaughter; parents Orval and Zelma Jensen; brothers and sisters, Maria Faulkner and husband Gary, Sondra Brinton and husband Dennis, and Allan Jensen and wife Sally; mother and father-in-law, Lloyd “Bud” and Shirley Owen; grandmother Alberta Gutscher; other relatives and numerous friends. 

 

Funeral Services: 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 17th at the Gower Christian Church AFC Building

Visitation:  5:00-8:00 p.m. Monday December 16th at the church AFC. 

Private family inurnment will be held later at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Maysville, MO

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St. Joseph Christian School or the Gower Christian Church.
