LARRY D. BARTON
Larry D. Barton, 66, of Easton, Mo., passed away, Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at the Gower Convalescent Center.
He was born on December 9, 1938 to Ray Woodrow and Hannah Pearl (Myer) Barton near Easton, Mo., where he grew up and later graduated high school. He then served his country in the U.S. Army. After his honorable discharge he returned to Easton.
On February 7, 1962 he was united in marriage to Norma Marie Shirley Penrod. After their marriage they lived in St. Joseph and in 1969 they moved to Easton where they made their home.
Larry worked at Freeman?s Store in Easton as a butcher, and later worked for St. Joe Gas Service Company for over 30 years, retiring in 1994.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant son.
He is survived by his wife, Norma, of the home, one son, Randy Barton, Gower, Mo., one daughter, Tammy Smith and husband, Philip, Easton, Mo., step-son, Kenneth Penrod, Atchison, Ks., seven grandchildren, Brandy, Larry, Audrey, Haley, Macy, James, and Milia, one brother, Gerald Barton, St. Joseph, Mo., several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 9th at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower, Mo.
Burial: Blakely Cemetery, Easton, Mo.
Visitation: 6:30-8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home in Gower.
