Kenneth Wayne Shoemaker
Kenneth Wayne Shoemaker, 71, of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, formerly of St. Joseph, MO, passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2009.
He was born on June 3, 1938 to William Thomas and Mary Hazel (McCoy) Shoemaker in St. Joseph where he grew up and attended school. Kenny then served his country in the U.S. Navy. In the 1960’s he moved to Ft. Wayne , Indiana where he made his home.
Kenny was an over the road truck driver for many years, and also enjoyed bowling.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, George Shoemaker.
Kenny is survived by sister, Betty Miller and husband, Richard, St. Joseph, MO; his family and friends in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Joyce Light, Ben and Ashlee Haviland and daughter Kennedy; several nieces and nephews, and many friends.
Graveside Service with military honors: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 1st at Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Joseph, MO.
Visitation: 6:30-8:00 p.m. on Monday at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower.
