Kenneth E. Moore
Kenneth E. Moore, 77 of Excelsior Springs, MO, formerly of Liberty, MO, passed away Thursday, May 13, 2010.
He was born on March 25, 1933, to William Marvin and Dollie May (Walker) Moore in rural Kearney, MO. He attended school in Smithville, MO. Kenny then served his country in the US Army during the Korean War.
On August 3, 1982, he was united in marriage to Virginia L. Boyles. After their marriage they lived in Liberty, MO and later moved to Excelsior Springs, MO.
Kenny was a farm hand working for several local farmers for many years. He loved his John Deere Tractors and visiting with friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Pete Moore and William Moore; and sisters, Emma Frances Blankenship, Maurine Moberly, Ethel Marie Lee, Sarah Jo Headrick, Dorothy Hickman and Bessie Ruth Bruce.
Kenny is survived by his wife, Virginia of the home; daughters, Vickie Blanton, Katherine Reid and husband, Mark, Susan Justice and husband Kurt, Rosemary Earlywine; eight step-children, twenty-eight grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; brother, Joseph Moore; sisters, Jean Turnipseed, Jane West, Alice Crooks, and Erma Nell Herring; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 15th at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville www.hixson-kleinfuneralhome.com.
Burial: Smithville Memorial Cemetery
Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home
