Karl “Charlie” Goff
Karl “Charlie” Goff, 60, of Smithville, MO passed away, Tuesday, March 8, 2016.
He was born on June 29, 1955 to James William and Lisbeth (Riesner) Goff in Erlangen, Germany. He grew up in Independence, MO and graduated from Van Horn High School in 1973.
On September 30, 1989 he was united in marriage to Lynn Marie Pankau. After their marriage they lived in Parkville, MO and in 1996 they moved to Smithville where they made their home.
He retired from PQ Corporation in Kansas City, Kansas after 28 years. Charlie enjoyed playing and watching sports, hunting, fishing and spending time at Pomme De Terre Lake. He loved being with his family. Charlie had a passion for cooking and was a master at barbecuing, especially for his family which he loved doing the most.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, a niece, Priscilla, brother-in-law, Doug Brockman, and father-in-law, Max Pankau,
He is survived by his wife, Lynn, of the home; mother-in-law, Irene Pankau; children, Shane (Rebecca) Goff and Julie (Stephen) Vallejo; grandchildren, Jakob and Noah Goff and Stephen and Alivia Vallejo; brothers, Dennis (Carolyn Herring) Goff, Elwyn (Ilona) Riesner; sisters, Ursula (Jerry) Riley and Cindy Brockman; brothers-in-law, Danny (DaLene) Brown and James (Billie) Pankau; nieces and nephews including, Angie, Tammy (Bryan), Regina (Mario), Anessa, Aaron (Ashley), and Paul (Nanette); great nieces and nephews, Dalton, Mason, Caleb, Aidan, Zoey, Lola, Lexie, Kierra, Keenan, Timothy, Ali, James, and Jessep; other relatives and many friends.
Memorial Service: 4:00 p.m. Saturday, March 12th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville, MO with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Reception to follow at the American Legion, 2607 NE Hwy 92, Smithville, MO.
