June Marie Ward
June Marie Ward, 75, of Smithville, MO passed away September 1, 2018.
She was born on September 20, 1942 to Orvil Hubert and Nell Anna (Reynolds) Kimbley in Joplin, MO where she grew up and attended school.
On February 1, 1979 she was united in marriage to Chester D. Ward. After their marriage they lived in Carbondale, KS and in 2000 they moved to Excelsior Springs, MO where they made their home. Chester passed away on March 7, 2016.
June enjoyed crafts, doing ceramics and being a homemaker. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.
She was also preceded in death by the father of her children Richard Collins, Sr. and her son Richard Collins, Jr.
June is survived by her children Janet Willis, James Collins and wife Rhonda, John Collins and wife Jennifer and Terry Collins; daughter-in-law Catherine Collins; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 4th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville
Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 5th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville.
Graveside Services: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 6th at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
