JULIA A. CHEW-ROGERS
Julia A. Chew-Rogers, 48, of Smithville, Mo., formerly of Wichita, Kansas, went home to be with her Lord and Savior after fighting her battle with cancer, on Friday, August 25, 2006.
She was born on February 4, 1958 to Darrell J. and Virginia M. (Lorg) Chew in Wichita, Kansas where she graduated from Bishop-Carroll High School. She then received her bachelor’s degree from Newman University in Wichita.
On March 21, 1992 she was united in marriage to Kenny Rogers. After their marriage they lived in Wichita and in 1997 they moved to Smithville where they made their home.
Julia was a territory representative for Marchon Eyewear for Missouri and Kansas. Throughout Missouri and Kansas her clients and associates recognized Julia for her strong integrity, character , and her incredible smile.
She was a member of Desperation Church in Liberty, Mo.
Julia is survived by her husband, Kenny Rogers, of the home, daughters Liberty McDaniel, Smithville, and Tiffany Chew, Kansas City, Mo, granddaughter Mystery McDaniel , her father and mother, Darrell and Virginia Chew, sister Tina Lee and family and sister Tammy McClernon and family, all of Wichita, in addition to loyal and loving friends throughout Missouri and Kansas.
The celebration of Julia’s life will be held , 7:00 P.M., Monday, August 28th at Desperation Church, 940 South Kent, Suite F, Liberty, Missouri. Services in Wichita will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 29th at Westlink Christian Church, 2001 N. Maize Rd., Wichita, Kansas with burial at Resurrection Cemetery in Wichita.
The family requests donations in Julia’s name be directed to Cancer Action, Inc., 4010 S. Lynn Court, Independence, Mo. 64055
