Judy Williams
Judy Carol Williams, 82, of Platte City, MO passed away August 30, 2026.
She was born on October 18, 1943, to Claude Baker and Bessie Marie (Wade) Porter in Smithville, MO. Judy grew up in Platte City and in 1961, she graduated from Platte City High School.
On October 14, 1961, she was united in marriage to William “Billy” Hale Williams. After their marriage they lived in Platte City where they made their home.
Judy was a member of the First Christian Church of Platte City. She was a receptionist for several businesses in the Kansas City area and later was a self-employed cleaner for numerous families and local businesses. She collected jewelry and anything cows. Judy loved attending any and all of her husbands, son, grandkids and great-grandkids events. Judy was an avid Pirates, Royals and Chiefs fan. Most of all Judy loved being a wife, mom and “MooMoo”. She freely spoke her mind and had a true spunky, spicy, one of a kind personality who will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents Claude and Marie Porter.
Judy is survived by her husband of 64 years, William H. “Billy” Williams; her son Scotty Williams and wife Maureen; her grandchildren Cory Williams and wife Bethany, Shannon Giese and husband Kiel and Cacy Williams and wife Sara; great-grandchildren Skylar, Teigan, Berkley, Liam, Cohen, Canten, Foster and Carsyn (due in November); her sister Sue Turner and husband Larry; niece Pam (Phil) Worth; nephew Brian Turner; multiple other nieces and nephews, and many friends.
Visitation 10:00-11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 10th with Funeral Services following at 11:00 a.m. all at First Christian Church of Platte City.
