Judy Mick

Judy Mick, 60, of Smithville, Mo., passed away, Monday, July 25, 2005.

She was born on March 8, 1945 to Coy Quentin and Josie Leona (Anderson) Kennedy in Smithville. Judy grew up in Plattsburg and graduated from Plattsburg High School in 1963. She then attended Northeast Missouri State University in Kirksville and later Caster?s Beauty Academy in St. Joseph.

Judy was the Co-owner of Beauty Boutique in Smithville for over 30 years.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Plattsburg. Judy was a member of Beta Sigma Phi for 32 years in Smithville where she held several offices. She coached girls softball in Plattsburg and Smithville for many years. Judy was active in the Smithville High School Booster Club, and was involved in the PTA and was a Room Mother for many years. She loved to travel Europe, and also loved to attend her son and grandson?s sporting events.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her son, Barry Mick and wife, Erica, Smithville, Mo., two grandchildren, Brock and Lillian, and two step-grandchildren, Bailey and Gabriel, four brothers, Alan Kennedy and wife, Leona, Roger Kennedy and wife, Judy, Bruce Kennedy, and Darrell Kennedy and wife, Donna, all of Plattsburg, Mo., and one sister, Carol Shaffer and husband, Larry, Smithville, Mo., several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services: 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 28th at the First Baptist Church in Smithville.
Burial: Frazier Cemetery, Frazier, Mo.
Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the church.
