Juanita Irene (McBroom) Warner
Juanita Cox Warner, 83 of Gower, MO, passed away, Friday, February 10, 2012.
She was born on May 7, 1928 to Truman and Irene (Sawyer) McBroom in Old Glory, TX. Her mother and step-father, Sam Parker, moved the family to the Gallatin area where she grew up and attended high school.
On April 25, 1945 she was united in marriage to James A. Cox. After their marriage they lived in Breckenridge, MO and the Hamilton, MO area. Her husband passed away in 1968. She married Clark Warner in 1989. They lived in Stewartsville where they made their home. He preceded her in death in 2011.
She worked for Stride Rite Shoe Factory in Hamilton, and retired from Walmart Shoe Department in Cameron, MO.
Juanita was also preceded in death by her parents, one daughter Janis Faye Rogers, step-daughter, Karen Whisler, and sister, Imogene Barton.
She is survived by two sons, James L. Cox and wife Shirley, Gower, MO, Gary Lynn Cox, Joplin, MO; son-in-law, Ed Rogers, Belton, MO; step-son, Gary Warner and wife Natalie, Plattsburg, MO, step son-in-law, Tim Whisler, Maysville, MO; grandchildren, J.D. Cox, Karen (Stephen) Main, Wendy (David) Higgins, Amanda, Samantha, David, and Nicole Cox; ten step-grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; eighteen step-great-grandchildren; two step-great-great-grandchildren; brother, Clayton McBroom and wife Mildred, Gallatin, MO; and sister Pauline Martin and husband, Raymond, Danbury, CT; several nieces and nephew, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Service: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 14th at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Burial: Hillcrest Cemetery, Gallatin, MO.
