Joyce Teegarden
Joyce Teegarden, 92, of Smithville, MO passed away, Wednesday, January 10, 2018.
She was born on August 7, 1925 to Everette Lee and Bertha Irene (Isenhour) Roberts in Mosby, MO. She grew up in Lawson and graduated from Lawson High School.
On September 25, 1943 she was united in marriage to Guy W. “Pete” Teegarden. After their marriage they lived in Lawson and in 1954 they moved to Smithville where they made their home. Her husband preceded her in death on March 9, 2004.
Joyce was a member of the First Baptist Church in Smithville.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Margaret Frye and Betty Norman, and brothers, Jewell Roberts and Nelson Roberts, and son, Gary Teegarden.
Joyce is survived by her daughter, Patty Kiefer; grandchildren, Chris Kiefer, Scott Kiefer, Alisa Cox, Erin French; nine great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley Lusher; sister-in-law, Lucille Bryant; brother-in-law, Jerry Teegarden; her best friend, Dorothy Perkins; several loving nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Service: 1:30 Saturday, January 13th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville with visitation one hour prior to the
service.

I loved Joyce. She was a mother to me I never had. We had some really good times my husband Gary was her son. They are flying free now and are at peace. Mama and I always said no matter what happens know that I love you! RIP Mama
