JOSHUA M. HOLDSWORTH
Joshua Matthew Holdsworth, 21, of Easton, MO and Trenton, MO, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2006 as a result of a vehicle accident.
Joshua was born at 3:02 A.M., June 25, 1984 at the Naval Base Hospital in Yokosuka, Japan. As a blonde hair, blue-eyed, toddler, Josh attracted much attention from the Japanese community.
Josh accepted Jesus Christ at an early age. He attended elementary and middle school in St. Joseph and East Buchanan High School in Gower. Josh recently received his diploma from Benton High School through Project Recovery in St. Joseph.
During his summers growing up, Josh enjoyed, Little League, snorkeling, and gathering lizards. He was a member of the East Buchanan football team where he received All Conference and All District Honor during the 2002 football season.
Josh worked for Herzog Company in St. Joseph.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, James Holdsworth, great-grandfather?s; Arvard Vanderford and Ed Makos, Sr., and Uncle Keith Holdsworth.
He is survived by his father and step-mother; Kenny and Kari Holdsworth and siblings, McKenna and Colten, all of Easton, Mo., mother and step-father; Becky and Randy Burks and siblings, Brendon, Azaria, Erika, Destiny and Trinity, all of Trenton, MO., grandparents and great-grandparents; Susie Holdsworth and Evelyn Mooneyham, both of North Kansas City, Danny and Wilma Eskridge and Irene Vanderford, all of Trenton, Becky and Kenny Shunk, Fillmore, Mo., Mary Makos, St. Joseph, Mo., James and Carol Burks, King City, Mo., Stan and Ruth Ebersold, Trenton, his girlfriend; Ashley Akers, Shenandoah, Iowa, numerous, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
FUNERAL SERVICE: 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, January 18th at the First Baptist Church, Gower.
VISITATION: 6:00-8:30 P.M., Tuesday at the church.
