Jonathan R. Wrightfield
Jonathan Ralph Wrightfield, 35, of Edgerton, MO, passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2010.
He was born on July 6, 1975 to John Ralph and Jean Catherine (Bredow) Wrightfield. He grew up in Adel, IA. The family later moved to Holt, MO and he graduated from Kearney High School in 1994. During his high school years he was active in sports and drama. Before serving his country in the US Air Force, he worked the summer at Yellowstone National Park.
On August 2, 2002 he was united in marriage to Leslie Diane Davis at Sturgis, SD. After their marriage they lived in Edgerton where they made their home.
Jon was a professional truck driver. He organized annual bike runs to benefit the Polycystic Kidney Disease Foundation in Kansas City. Jon was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, parasailing and riding his motorcycle. Jon loved being a superman. He always stopped to help stranded motorists or someone in a ditch or anyone in need. He loved being that guy!
He was a member of the Vineyard Church in Kansas City, MO.
Jon is survived by his wife, Leslie; daughter, Trinity Wrightfield; step-sons, Chandler VanOrden, and Nicholas and RJ Domingo; his parents, John and Jean Wrightfield; sister, Joani Harshman and husband Chad; niece Keira and nephew Maxwell; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 11th at the Vineyard Church in Kansas City, MO with visitation from 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
