Johnathon Minor Brushwood

Johnathon Minor Brushwood, 34, of St. Joseph, MO, formerly of Gower, MO, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2011.

He was born on July 29, 1976 in St. Joseph, MO. In 1994, Johnathon graduated from East Buchanan High School in Gower.

Johnathon worked for Johnson Controls in St. Joseph, MO and was previously a greens keeper for several golf courses in the area. Johnathon enjoyed fishing, golfing and mushroom hunting, but most of all loved spending time with his children and family.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Minor and Grace Brushwood and Calvin Foss.

Johnathon is survived by one daughter, Hailee Brushwood; two sons, Vincent and Coby Brushwood; parents, John Brushwood and wife, Robin, Sherry Brushwood and Ruth Reid and husband, Jerry; brothers and sisters, Charles McDaniel, IV, Dr. Steven Brushwood and wife, Renee, Patrick Brushwood and wife, Virginia, Rebecca Brushwood and husband, Abdallah Hage-Sleiman, Jason Brushwood and wife, Megan, Benjamin Reid, Jessica Osborn and husband John, Todd Dwyer and wife Roxanne and Shelly Dwyer; grandparents, Mary Claar, Darrell Gitchell and Ruth Foss; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation: 5:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 2nd at First Baptist Church, Gower

Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 3rd at the church

Burial: Allen Cemetery, Gower

Donations: Johnathon Brushwood Memorial Fund c/o Bank of Gower for his children’s education.
