John M. Baber
John Baber, 82, of Platte City, MO passed away, April 29, 2019.
He was born on March 12, 1937 to George and Francie (Wade) Baber in Platte City, MO where he grew up graduated from Platte City High School. He then served his country in the U.S. Army.
On August 12, 1956 he was united in marriage to Patsy Marie Robbins. After their marriage they lived in Platte City where they made their home.
John was a heavy equipment operator and was a member of Local Union 101 Operating Engineers for 46 years.
He was a lifetime member of the Hoover Christian Church after being baptized there on September 22, 1949.John was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy; son, Steve Baber and wife, Linda; daughter, Susan Miller; grandsons, Taylor Ahnefeld and Jackson Baber; brother, Robert Baber and wife, Patricia; other relatives and many friends.
Memorial Service: 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 5th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville, MO with visitation from 1:00-3:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Donations may be made to the Hoover Christian Church.
