John L. Buck

John Buck, 89, of Camden Point, MO, passed away, Saturday, February 2, 2013.

He was born on December 4, 1923 to John Thomas and Hassie (Childress) Buck in Hamilton, MO where he grew up and graduated high school.   John served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII.

On February 25, 1951 he was united in marriage to Martha Marie Pine.  After their marriage they lived in Hamilton and Camden Point where he farmed.  John drove a school bus for 27 years for the North Platte School District.

John attended Christ Chapel Assembly of God in Platte City. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Ethel “Mickey” Lyon and husband Don, brother, Robert Lee Buck, sister-in-law Dorothy Buck.

John is survived by his wife, Martha, of the home; children, Belinda Hobbs and husband Joe, Louisville, KY,  David L. Buck, Camden Point, MO, Gayle Wood and husband Curt, Grand Lake, OK, Julie Dudley and husband Brocious, Camden Point, MO; grandchildren, Dustin, Caitlin, John and Tate Buck, Amber Yourman, Chris Wood, Lucas, Dakotah and Nathan Dudley; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Elias, Gabriel, Thea, Josephine and Jadyn; brother  Earl Buck, and sister, Carolyn Williams and husband Lee; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services With Military Honors: 11:00 a.m.  Friday, February 8th at Christ Chapel Assembly of God in Platte City.

Visitation:  7:00-8:30 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Inurnment will be held at a later date at New Market Cemetery.

    So sorry for your lost, I know missing him will hurt for awhile, I lost my mom,Jan 16th this year. He is with the Lord and you will see him again,healthy and whole. God be with your family.
