Joe Melvin Boydston
Joe Melvin Boydston, 76, of St. Joseph, formerly of Faucett, MO, passed away, Sunday, January 8, 2012.
He was born on September 23, 1935 to Joseph Nathaniel and Thelma Ernestine (Cone) Boydston in Camden Point, MO, where attended school and grew up.
Joe was an over the road Truck Driver for over 40 years. He was a member of the Faucett Lions Club and the Platte County Steam and Gas Engine Association.
He was also preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Betty (Hayne) Boydston.
Joe is survived by his children Charles Boydston and wife Mickey, Elwood, KS, Tony Boydston and wife Tammy, St. Joseph, MO, Donald Boydston and wife Tina, St. Joseph, MO; Betty’s children, Kathy Williams, Wichita, KS, Jeanne Edwards and husband Ralph, St. Joseph, MO, Virginia Stanley and husband Harry, Minneapolis, KS, Jeff McKnight and wife Mary, Faucett, MO; girlfriend, Gayle Long; twenty-three grandchildren; thirty-nine great-grandchildren; sister, Wilma Martin and husband Ralph; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 11th at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Edgerton, MO.
Burial: Camden Point Cemetery.
Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Donations: Three Rivers Hospice or Faucett Lions Club.
