Joan
Lucille Warring, 85, of Smithville, MO passed away December 19, 2015.
She
was born on December 26, 1929, to Marshall Alfred and Helen Ruth (Ahschlager)
Denby. Joan grew up in Des Moines, IA,
and graduated from Abbington High School in Philadelphia, PA.
In
1970 Joan was united in marriage to Christian Martin “Red” Warring. After their marriage they lived in Smithville
where they made their home.
She
was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Smithville.
Joan
was a secretary for the Park Hill School District for almost 30 years.
She
was preceded in death by her first husband Gene L. Henderson; her parents; and
sister, Evelyn Williams.
Joan is survived by her husband Martin “Red” Warring; children, Barbara Henderson,
Mitch (Anita) Henderson, Derk Henderson, Bill (Kathy) Warring, Bob (Tammy)
Warring, Steve (fiancé Nancy) Warring; grandchildren, Justin Warring, Ian
(Jenny) Warring, Morgan (Melvin) Dunsworth, Emily (Kevin) Brimer, Quinn
Warring, Tiffany Henderson, Zach (Jackie) Warring and Caleb Henderson;
great-grandchildren, Andrew, Haley, Layne, Riley and Greyson; brother, Marshall
E. (Nancy) Denby; sister, Aldean Rasmussen; nieces, nephews, other relatives
and many friends.
Funeral
Service: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 26th with visitation from
10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at First Baptist Church in Smithville,
MO.
Burial: White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Kansas City,
MO
In
