Joan C. (Miller) Riddle

Joan C. (Miller) Riddle, 71, of Platte City, MO passed away Saturday, March 19, 2016.

She was born to Carl and Ruth (Councill) Miller in Norfolk, VA.  Joan met the love of her life, Carl Riddle and they were married upon his return from the Vietnam War.  They moved to Missouri permanently in 1988.  They are the parents of two children, Robert Joseph Riddle, Suzanne Marie Gericke and grandparents to grandson Casey Eugene Gericke.  She was a licensed cosmetologist and later worked as a bookkeeper for auto dealerships and retired from Eggen’s True Value Hardware.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Randy Miller. 

Surviving is her husband Carl, children Robert Riddle and Suzanne Gericke, grandson Casey Gericke all of Platte City and nieces Lois, Peggy and Jean all of Virginia.

Visitation from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Monday, March 28th with Memorial Service at 7:00 p.m. all at the First Baptist Church, Platte City.

The family suggest memorials in Joan’s name to the Kitty Cat Connection PO Box 902085, Kansas City, MO 64190-2085 or to the Masonic Lodge 169, PO Box 1, Camden Point, MO  64018 for community programs.
