JIM HOLDER

James ?Jim? Lawrence Holder, 68 of Gower, Mo., passed away Saturday, February 26 at St. Luke?s Hospital, Kansas City, Mo.

He was born on October 3, 1936 to Lawrence Eugene and Alma Glorina (Hiland) Holder near Gower where he grew up. In 1955, Jim graduated from Gower High School. After his graduation he served his country in the US Army Reserves.

In 1993, Jim retired from Purina, St. Joseph, Mo., and later worked for the Clay County Parks Department, Smithville, Mo.

Jim was a member of the Frazier Baptist Church, and the Gower Old Timers Hall of Fame. He enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting and was also an avid fan of the East Buchanan Football Team.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Jim is survived by his wife, Betty, of the home, three daughters, Kim Taber and husband, Steve, and Paige Holder, all of Gower, and Dawn Bobsin, and husband, Gene, Hollister, Mo., step-son, Ed Ragsdale, Gower, eight grandchildren, Jarret, Jordan, Justin, Christian, Katlyn, Skyler, Courtney, and Cailey, two brothers, John Holder and wife, Judy, Gower, and Hiland Holder, St. Joseph, one sister, Wilma Adkins, Gower, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Service: 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 2nd at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower.
Burial: Allen Cemetery, Gower.
Visitation: 6:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday evening at the funeral home
