JIM D. ROSE

Jim D. Rose, 61, of Gower, Mo., passed away, Tuesday, November 1, 2005 at the Gower Convalescent Center.

He was born on November 18, 1943 to William Arthur and Martha Ellen (Watkins) Rose in Stewartsville, Mo., where he graduated from high school. Jim then attended Tarkio College and St. Joseph Junior College.

On July 6, 1964 he was united in marriage to Sue Ellen Gibson. After their marriage they lived in St. Joseph, Hemple, and in 1977 they moved to Gower where they made their home.

Jim worked for Wire Rope in St. Joseph for 32 years retiring in 1996.

He was a member of Stony Point Presbyterian Church. Jim was on the Board of Directors of the Brain Injury Association of Missouri, the Advisory Board for MERIL, he was former president of Missouri Appaloosa Association and former president of Show-Me Appaloosa Association. Jim was an officer for Missouri Parent Network and the Union Steward for the Steel Workers Union in St. Joseph.

Jim is survived by his wife, Sue Ellen, of the home, daughter, Kelly Hampton, Gower, Mo., two sons, Sean Rose, Clarksdale, Mo., and Jamie Rose, St. Joseph, Mo., five grandchildren, Courtney, Kassie, Jackie, Jenny, and Jacob, two great-grandsons, Zachary and Clayton, his mother, Martha Lathom, Savannah, Mo., three brothers, Bill Rose, King City, Mo., Steve and Kenneth Rose, Tooley Lake, Ca., other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower, Mo.
Burial: Allen Cemetery, Gower, Mo.
Visitation: 6:30-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
