Jewell Wayne McDowell
Jewell Wayne McDowell, 76, of St. Joseph, MO passed away Thursday, August 20, 2009.
He was born on October 26, 1932 to Prince Charles and Jane Ellen (Roberts) McDowell in Gower where he grew up and graduated from Gower High School. Jewell then served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War.
Jewell was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Ernest McDowell and Dallas McDowell.
He is survived by two sisters, Verda Marie Dakin, St. Joseph, MO and Alma Deaner, Kansas City, MO; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Graveside Services with Military Honors: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 22nd at the Allen Cemetery, Gower
Visitation: 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower
