Jessie Eileen (Martin) Teeple
Jessie Eileen Teeple, 96, of Edgerton, MO passed away November 4, 2010 at the Gower Convalescent Center.
She was born on April 26, 1914 to Willie Thomas and Evalina (Watkins) Martin in Edgerton where she grew up and attended school.
On January 14, 1933 she was united in marriage to John William “Bill” Teeple. After their marriage they farmed in the Edgerton area and in 1975 they moved to Edgerton where they made their home. Her husband, Bill passed away on November 7, 1987.
Eileen also worked for National Bellas Hess and Harmers Café. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Eileen loved reading, crocheting, and spending time with all her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by parents, two daughters Pamela Teeple and LaVon (Teeple) Hair, and son-in-law, Billy Harmer.
Eileen is survived by two daughters, Maxine Harmer and Ann Ramseier and husband, Frank; grandchildren, Brenda Wilder, John Harmer, Karen Belt, Cynthia Davis, Terry Ramseier, Marla Bressman, Karla Lewis, Leah Mosby, Robert Hair and Tammy Hair; twenty-five great-grandchildren; sixteen great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 8th at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Edgerton.
Burial: Reed Cemetery, Edgerton
Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday at the church.
