Our sincere condolences to the family. Janis and I were blessed to know Jess and Martha through their relationship with my parents and my friendship with Billy. Weldon and Helen enjoy a lifetime of friendship with them and many adventures filled with laughter, giggles and home cooked meals. They made this world a much better place. God Bless.

I knew the Edwards Family since about 1961, Leslie & David were my mentors of sorts. We (Clifton Anderson, Gertrude, and me) lived right across the road from them. Jesse Alan left quite an impression on our Family needless to say. I only recently joined Smithville Historic Society, and have become obsessed by our History, learned a couple months back that Billy, David, and Martha had passed and that Jesse Alan was in a nursing home @ Platte City I was told.. Wanted to see and visit him ( and talk with Leslie) but didn’t get it accomplished. I’m going to try to attend the service…

Always enjoyed talking to Jess Alan. Some great memories with the Edwards family over the years. I will be out of town Friday, or I would be at the service. God Bless all of you.

Leslie Barbara and kids… I am so sorry to read about the loss of your dad. He was a great man and he loved and lived life to the fullest. I don’t remember seeing him without his smile. May he Rest In Peace— but since he is now rejoined with David and Billy I’m not sure how peaceful, but definitely joyous. Bless all the families he has left, and Leslie you have a big job to fill. Love all and please accept my heartfelt sympathies.

I am sorry for your loss. He and his family farmed a lot of ground back in the day. One of the first farmers to have Steiger tractors in our area. Prayers for the family.
