In Remembrance Of

Jerry Stang

Gerald Paul Stang, 66, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer, fighting as only he could.

Jerry was born on September 12th, 1955 to parents Roy and Laverne Stang, who preceded him in death.

Besides spending time with his family and friends, Jerry had a wide range of hobbies including building furniture, collecting Coca Cola memorabilia, spending time on his boat, and fishing. Jerry had a wickedly delightful sense of humor and a wit as sharp as a brand new razor, and was often fond of showing those around him which of his fingers was longest. A generous man with a passion for life and for his family, Jerry touched many with his specific brand of love. He will be dearly missed, and his kind won’t be seen again.

Jerry is survived by his wife Sheryl Lynn Stang; sons Cory, Kyle, and Joshua Stang, daughters-in-law Abby, Lisa, and Alyssa Stang; grandchildren Adrianna, Lex, Lily, Levi, Mia, and Miles Stang. Jerry is also survived by brother Wayne Stang and wife Tammy Stang; sister Cindy Glomski and husband Terry; other relatives and many friends.

Memorial Service: 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 12th with Visitation following until 8:00 p.m. at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville

A celebration of Jerry’s life will be held after the visitation at Humphrey’s in Smithville.

As Jerry’s brother-in-law I was definitely exposed to his sense of humor and outgoing personality. I was so sorry to hear of his passing, but I know he lived a ruch, full life in the years he had and I know he was loved immensely by his family. He will be forever missed
