Jeraldine Patricia (Aten) Holmes

Jeraldine Patricia Holmes, 80, of Lahoma, OK, formerly of Smithville, MO passed away on July 9, 2009.

She was born on November 19, 1928 to Benjamin Harrison and Ada Bell (Goodwin) Aten in Vinton, Iowa. She attended school in Iowa, Phoenix, Arizona and graduated from High School in Enid, Oklahoma.

Jeraldine worked for a number of years at Wal Mart in Liberty, MO and finished her career at the Wal Mart in Enid, Oklahoma. She loved to watch her granddaughter, Erin play basketball. Jeraldine had an adventurous nature and always went off the beaten path to find interesting sites.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers Harold, Charles and Donald Aten and two sisters, Alberta Vest and Mary Lou Autry.

Jeraldine is survived by two sons, Jerry Holmes and wife, Eva, Kansas City, MO and Randy Holmes and wife, Jenny Lee, Smithville, MO; one daughter, Robin Roush, Lahoma, OK; one granddaughter, Erin Roush; one sister, Betty Jane Culver, Enid, OK, several nieces and nephews other relatives and many friends.

Graveside Service and Burial: 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 13^th at the Hennessey Cemetery, Hennessey, Oklahoma

Visitation: 5:00-7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 11^th at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville.
