Jeffrey McCauley
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jeffrey McCauley, beloved husband and father, on December 28th, 2023. Born on April 19th, 1962 in Omaha, Nebraska to Karen and Roger McCauley, Jeffrey was a kind and gentle man who touched the lives of everyone he met.
Jeffrey was preceded in death by his mother, Karen McCauley.
He is survived by his beloved wife Sharmila McCauley; children Jessica, Kevin, Darron, and Roman McCauley; siblings Robert McCauley, Matthew McCauley and Shelley Dahlgren; and father Roger McCauley.
Throughout his life Jeffrey was passionate about learning and enjoyed reading books on a variety of topics. He was an avid sports fan who rarely missed watching a game with friends or family. His passion for music was evident through his guitar playing and singing. He also loved camping and spending time outdoors with his family.
Jeffrey will be remembered for being a devoted husband and father who would do anything for those he loved. He always put others’ needs before his own, which made him an amazing friend to all who knew him. His spirit will live on through the memories shared by those closest to him.
Rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m., followed by a visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. and Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church on U.S 169 in Smithville, Missouri.
Everyone is invited to join the family as we share stories of our beloved Jeffery’s life as we celebrate it together one last time.

I was so saddened to hear of Jeff’s passing. I only met him once, but my Mom thought the world of him, which means he was a pretty special guy. I hope you are able to find peace in knowing they’re having a heck of a party.
