Jeanie Blakely
Gloria Jean Blakely, 85, of Hemple, MO passed away, July 2, 2023.
She was born on August 22, 1937 to Gomer Lee “Pete” and Minnie Elizabeth (Grable) Coffey in St. Joseph, MO. Jeanie grew up in Hemple, MO where she attended school.
On June 19, 1955 she was united in marriage to George Blakely. After their marriage they lived in Camden Point, Gower, and in 1984 moved to Hemple where they made their home. Her husband, George, preceded her in death on August 31, 2005.
Jeannie was a member of the Gower Baptist Church.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Doris Kerns and her special friend, Roy Moppin.
Jeanie is survived by three sons, Gary (Cindy) Blakely, Darren (Michelle) Blakely, Kurt (Trish) Blakely; grandchildren, Matthew, Angie (Anthony), Brian (Laura), Denise (Rob), Jeff, Jarren, Clarissa (Zach), Callen, Cooper, Chance and Ella; great-grandchildren, Landon, Valerie, Vanessa, Faith, Kaelyn, Bryant, Mazie, and Blake; several nieces and nephews, honorary grandchildren, and many friends.
Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 5th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower.
Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m. Thursday July 6th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower.
Burial: Blakely Cemetery, Easton, MO.
Donations may be made to Blakely Cemetery.
