Jean Genson

Floy Jean Genson, 88 of Plattsburg, MO passed away February 13, 2025.

She was born on February 21, 1936 to Forrest and Floy Aitkens in Plattsburg, MO where she grew up and graduated from high school.

Jean married Donald T. Genson and they lived in Plattsburg where they made their home. Donald passed away on September 15, 2015.

She worked for Norris store in Plattsburg and was a school bus driver for Clinton County School District in Plattsburg. Jean enjoyed doing puzzles and bird watching. Jean was a faithful Christian and she loved being a mom and grandma to everyone.

She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Genson; her son Wayne Genson; and her grandson Tyler Genson; her parents and her brothers and sisters.

Jean is survived by her daughters Theresa (Gary) Cockriel and Bridget Genson; grandchildren Brandon (Roquelle) Genson, Marcus Genson, Christopher Cooper, Trevor Genson, Dasha Genson and Derek Genson; great-grandchildren Wesley, Aalyiah and Alexis; other relatives and many friends.

Visitation 1:00-2:00 p.m. with Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 17th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower.
Burial: Mt. Zion Cemetery, Gower
