Jayne (Morton) Edlin

Jayne Edlin, 95, of Platte City, MO passed away, Saturday, March 22, 2014.

She was born on January 7, 1919 at the home of her parents in the area now occupied by the KCI Airport, and has lived in this same area most of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Coin and Dorothy Morton and her sister, Frances Georgene Stone.  Her husband of 49 years, Harry G. Edlin, passed away in 1991.

Jayne was a member of the Second Creek Christian Church in Platte County and had attended the Platte City United Methodist Church and the Ferrelview Christian Church in Kansas City, MO.

She was a member of the Spelman Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.

Jayne retired in 1984 from Platte-Clay Electric Cooperative where she had worked 20 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Karlyn E. Hays and husband Bill, Tipton, MO and Chris Edlin and wife Eileen, Liberty, MO; two grandsons, T.C. Dawson and Bob Edlin; great-grandson, Colton Dawson.

Funeral Services:  10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 26^th with visitation 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the service all at Platte City United Methodist Church.

Burial:  Platte City Cemetery
