Jana Carol White

Jana Carol White, 65, of Smithville, MO passed away Monday, February 9, 2015.

 

She was born on May 14, 1949 to Oteamous and Joyce (Rogers) White in Lubbock, TX.  Carol grew up in Texarkana, TX and graduated from Texarkana High School.

 

Carol was an avid reader who enjoyed gardening and loved animals, especially cats.  She loved her family and friends deeply.  Most of all, she loved her grandchildren and took great pride in their lives.

 

Carol was an active member of the Smithville United Methodist Church. She was a wonderful friend who will be missed by many.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved cat, Gabi.

 

Carol is survived by her daughters Julie Gardino and Brenna Gardino and husband Jamey Pick; grandchildren Kylee and Garrett Knott; brothers Charles White and wife Carol and

Ron White and wife Rhondie; best friend Diane Phillips and husband Phil; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

 

A Celebration of Life will take place at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 13, 2015 at Smithville United Methodist Church.

Arrangements by Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville

Donations may be made to Megan’s Paws and Claws Animal Shelter c/o City of Smithville.
