James M. Ratliff

James M. Ratliff, 78 of Smithville, MO passed away, Friday, August 16, 2013.

He was born on October 26, 1934 to James Marion, Sr. and Opal L. (Young) Ratliff  in Smithville, MO where he grew up and graduated high school.  He then served his country in the U.S. Army. 

On April 11, 1969 he was united in marriage to Donice R. Yonally.

Jim worked for TWA for over 40 years, retiring as a Planner in 1993.

He was a member of the Smithville Christian Church.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Donice, of the home; daughter, Robbin Markowitz and husband Bob; two granddaughters, Ashleigh and Taylor Markowitz, all of Troy, OH; sister, Betty Johnson, Smithville, MO; and several nephews.

Graveside Service:  11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 21^st at Smithville Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation:  6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Smithville Christian Church.
