James Frazier Robb
James Frazier Robb, 84, of Kansas City North, MO passed away Sunday, December 11, 2011.
He was born on June 28, 1927 to Rufus Frazier and Mary Melvina (Cavanaugh) Robb in Nashua, MO where he grew up and in 1945 graduated from North Kansas City High School. Jim then served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII as a Corporal. After his honorable discharge, he returned to the Kansas City North area and attended Kansas City University.
On July 29, 1945 he was united in marriage to Rebecca Rose Wilson. After their marriage they lived in the Nashua Community in Kansas City North and in 1974 they moved to Platte Woods, MO where they made their home.
Jim worked at Panhandle Eastern Pipeline and General Motors. In 1958 he began his 40 year career with State Farm Insurance.
He was a member of Assembly of God Church since 1939. In 1958 he joined the North Kansas City Assembly of God which later became the Northland Cathedral. In 1963 he served as the chairman of the building committee for construction of the new church. Jim also served on the Nashua School Board and served on the United Missouri Bank Board for over 20 years.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife Becky of 66 years; one son, Randall L. Robb; one daughter Lynn Robb Patton and husband Andy; one grandson, Drew Patton, all of Kansas City North; one brother, Francis L. Robb and wife Joan, Omaha, NE; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Friday December 16th at the Northland Cathedral 101 NW 99th Street, Kansas City, MO 64155
Burial: Ridgley Cemetery
Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday December 15th at the church.
Donations: American Heart Association or the church.
