JAMES E. PYLES
James ?Jim? Everett Pyles, 56, of Plattsburg, Mo, passed away, Monday, November 6, 2006 at a hospital in St. Joseph after a lengthy illness.
He was born on January 18, 1950 to Wayne and Flora (Turner) Pyles in St. Joseph, Mo., where he attended Todd Elementary School and in 1968 graduated from Savannah High School. Jim then served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Viet Nam War. After his honorable discharge he returned to St. Joseph.
On April 28, 1973 he was united in marriage to Loleta Schmoe. After their marriage they lived in St. Joseph and in 1980 moved to Plattsburg where they made their home.
Jim worked for Consolidated Freight in Kansas City for many years.
He was a member of Woodson Chapel Christian Church and the St. Joseph Archaeological Society, both in St. Joseph.
Jim was preceded in death by his father and one sister Virginia Pyles.
He is survived by his wife, Loleta, children; Ginny and Todd all of the home, his mother; Flora Pyles, Union Star, Mo., sister; Barbara Kelly and husband, Robert, Savannah, Mo., brother; Richard Pyles and wife, Kari, St. Joseph, Mo, several nieces and nephews other relatives and many friends.
FUNERAL SERVICE: 11:00 A.M., Thursday, November 9th, at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville, Mo.
BURIAL WITH MILITARY HONORS: Bennett Lane Cemetery, Savannah, Mo.
VISITATION: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
