James Dale Scenter

James
Dale Scenter, 73, of Orrick, MO passed away Friday, December 11, 2015.

He
was born on November 4, 1942 to James Francis and Catherine Bernice (Cohea)
Scenter in Muskogee, Oklahoma where he grew up and graduated from Muskogee
Central High School.  He then attended
Bacone College in Muskogee.  In 1963 he
moved to Kansas City.

On
June 20, 1964 he was united in marriage to Marsha Jean Bennett.  After their marriage they lived in Kansas
City, Independence and in 1976 moved to Orrick where they made their home.

Jim
worked as a Union Carpenter and was a superintendent for commercial construction.  He was a member of Carpenter’s Union Local
#61 in Kansas City.  He also owned and
operated Scenter Locksmith Company for many years.

He
was a member of the Orrick United Methodist Church.

Jim
was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Gary Scenter.

He
is survived by his wife, Marsha of the home, four daughters; Becky Madonia and
husband Chris, Cathy Curtis and husband Chuck, Kim Gaines and husband Todd, and
Cindy Harris and husband Jason; grandchildren Tawney, Ryan, Melanie, Anthony, Kaitlyn,
Jacob, Madilyn, Allyson, Sierrah, Brayden, Autumn and Gavin; great-grandchildren
Makayla and Charlize; brother Guy Scenter; sister Joan Hanson and husband Don;
several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral
Services:  2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 13
th
with visitation one hour prior to the service all at the Hixson-Klein Funeral
Home, Gower.

Burial:  Allen Cemetery, Gower.

Donations
may be made to Sarah Cannon Cancer Network at Research Medical Center
