Jack Palmer

Jack Palmer, 59, of Smithville, Mo., passed away, Tuesday, February 8, 2005 at his home.

He was born on October 8, 1945 to Max Liston and Theda June (McCarty) Palmer in Winston, Mo. Jack grew up in Smithville and later graduated from Smithville High School. He then served his country in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam War.

On December 13, 1968 he was united in marriage to Vicki Rife. After their marriage they lived in various places and in 1985 they returned to Smithville where they made their home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Frankie Palmer and one sister, Donna Kay Cone.

He is survived by his wife, Vicki, of the home, two sons, Nathan Palmer and Justin Palmer, both of Smithville, Mo. two daughters, Mackenzie Hayes, Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., Samantha Palmer, Smithville, Mo., two grandchildren, Chloe and Xavier, two sisters, Sue Knapp, Blue Springs, Mo. And Beverly Race, Lake of the Ozarks, Mo.

Private Family Graveside Services were held on Thursday, February 10, 2005 at Goss Cemetery in Smithville, Mo.

Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville was in charge of arrangements.
