Jack Dwayne Racobs
Jack D. Racobs, 63 of Smithville, MO, passed away, Monday, April 2, 2012 at his home.
He was born on June 5, 1948 to Lyle W.A. and Retha M. (Earleywine) Racobs in Logan, Iowa. He grew up in Logan and graduated from Logan High School. He then served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
On August 30, 1974 he was united in marriage to Judy Marie Thompson. After their marriage they lived in Smithville where they made their home. Jack and Judy enjoyed fishing, camping, and traveling.
He worked for ADM Milling in North Kansas City for 33 years, retiring in 2011.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Connie Tiffey.
He is survived by his wife, Judy, of the home; daughters, Angela Sackett, Kim Bywaters, and Lori Nichols and husband Todd, son-in-law, Brian Coons; grandchildren, Rachel and Erin Sackett, Kirsten and Brandon Coons, and Austin and Conner Nichols; sisters, Mardine Tiffey and husband Richard, Barbara Ballew, Cindy Anderson and husband Ron, Debbie Trammell and husband Hank; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Memorial Service: 4:00 p.m. Thursday, April 5th at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville.
