J.R. Wrinkle

J.R. Wrinkle, 84, of Edgerton, Mo., passed away, Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2007.

He was born on September 7, 1922 to Thomas Liva and Alta May (McKenzie) Wrinkle in Preston, Mo. In 1935 the family moved to Smithville where he graduated from high school in 1941. J.R. then served his country in the U.S. Navy during

WWII.

On June 16, 1943 he was united in marriage to Ruby M. Montgomery. They lived in St. Joseph, Camden Point, Kansas City, Overland Park, Lake of the Ozarks, and in 1993 they moved to Edgerton where they made their home. His wife, Ruby, passed away on September 11, 2001.

J. R. worked at Standard Plating in Kansas City for over 20 years, and later owned and operated a bait shop in Lake of the Ozarks until he retired.

He was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Edgerton.

J.R. was also preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Hoyt Wrinkle.

He is survived by two sisters, Bernita Walker, Maysville, MO, and Launa Hass, Bethany, MO, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Service: 10:00 A.M., Saturday, September 1st at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Edgerton.

Burial: Allen Cemetery, Gower, Mo.

Visitation: 6:30-8:00 P.M., Friday at the church.
