Irma Dean (Gartin) Rowland

Irma Dean Rowland, 92 of Gower, MO passed away Friday, April 10, 2015 at the Gower Convalescent Center.

She was born on March 7, 1923 to Rev. A.L. and Myrtle (Robinson) Gartin in Winston, MO. She spent her early childhood in Hopkins, MO and in 1933 her family moved to Gower. Irma Dean graduated from Gower High School in 1941.

On February 10, 1946 she was united in marriage to Willard C. Rowland. After their marriage they made their home in Gower.

She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Gower.

Irma Dean worked for the Farmerâ??s Bank in Gower, and also Commerce Bank in Kansas City.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Willard, of the home; son, Ken Rowland and wife Susie; daughter, Beth Selk; grandchildren Brad, David and Jennifer Rowland and Rachel, Adam and Mark Herndon; brother Richard Gartin and wife Shirleen; several nieces and nephews including nephew, Gene Lytle and wife Rosemary; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services: 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 13th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower.

Burial: Allen Cemetery, Gower, MO.

Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
