Idona Arletha (Tate) Branstuder
Idona Arletha (Tate) Branstuder, 60, of Smithville, MO, formerly of Plattsburg, Lathrop and Gower, passed away November 7, 2011 at her home.
She was born on July 14, 1951 to William Estel and Deloris Josephine (Barnett) Tate in St. Joseph, MO. Idona grew up attended school in Plattsburg and in 1969 graduated from Lathrop High School.
Idona was united in marriage to Larry Rex Branstuder. After their marriage they lived in Gower, Plattsburg and later moved to Smithville where they made their home. Idona worked for the Division of Family Services for over 30 years and also at Smithville Marina.
She enjoyed reading, being outdoors and loved all animals.
Idona was preceded in death by her first husband Richard Dale Barnhill.
She is survived by her husband, Larry of the home; children, Chris Barnhill and wife Kristie, Lori Ackerman and husband Kyle, Jason Barnhill and wife Mary, Shay Branstuder, Kari Davis; seven grandchildren, Shane, Courtney, Colby, Brysen, Blake, Tara and Becky; father and mother Bill and Deloris Tate; brother, Charles Tate and wife Debbie; sisters, Nina Dowell and husband Tim and Janie Kahler and husband Brent; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m. Thursday November 10th at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home Gower
Burial: Grayson Cemetery
Visitation: 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

I am deeply sorry for your loss I knew Idona (or Donut, Donie as friends called her) for years knew her in Grade school had the privalge of hearing her sing and being a babysitter for her children she will be missed sooo much my heart goes out to the family
