Howard Dale Jackson

Howard Dale Jackson, 86 of Easton, MO passed away Sunday, March 10, 2013. 

 

He was born on June 16, 1926 to Rufus and Grace (Rapp) Jackson in Easton, MO where he grew up and in 1943 graduated from Easton High School.

 

On June 28, 1947 he was united in marriage to Beverly Maxine Easter.  After their marriage they lived in rural Easton where they farmed and made their home. 

 

Howard was an active member of the Gower Christian Church where he had served as an Elder, Sunday School Superintendent, and as a Board Chairman.  He was also a charter member of the Easton Lions Club and was inducted into the Gower Oldtimer’s Hall of Fame.

 

Howard was preceded in death by his parents, infant grandson Howard William Sutton; brothers, Lester, George, Earl, Carl, Floyd, Roy and Edgar; and sisters, Lily Thomas and Anna Mae Herpel.

 

He is survived by his wife of 65 years Maxine; children Ron (Kay) Jackson and Cheryl (Dennis) Sutton; grandchildren, Scott (Gail) Sutton, Shelly (Chuck) Parks, Kellie Sutton, Doug (Tami) Sutton, Kara (Brandon) Spaeth, Kristen (Dusty) Whiteley, and Kyle (Ashley) Jackson; great-grandchildren, Chase, Tyler, Drew, Kelcie, Taylor, Kami, Cole, Micah, Luke, Brady, Cooper, Ellie, Tucker, and Bennett; step-great-grandchildren, Artie and Trinity; brothers Jim (Jerry) Jackson and Bill (Jo) Jackson; sisters, Mary Nelson, Dorothy (Walt) Ostrander, Nadine Karrasch, Betty (Wayne) Kerns, LaDonna Corey  and Evelyn Thomas; numerous nieces and nephews other relatives and many friends.  

 

Funeral Service:  10:00 Wednesday March 13th at the Gower Christian Church.

Burial:  Blakely Cemetery, Easton MO

Visitation:  6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Gower Christian Church AFC building.

Donations to the church building fund.

    Ron and Kay, so sorry to hear about the loss of your dad, Howard. We heard about his declining health from one of your employees last week when we stopped by to purchase some batteries, I believe you were at the nursing home with your dad at the time. A very difficult time for you and your mom. Certainly understand for Linda lost her dad las Dec and mom is not well either. Would liked to attended visitation but Linda is recovering from knee replacement surgery two weeks ago. Please accept our condolences at this time time. God Bless!
