Henry E. Pflugradt

Henry E. Pflugradt, Sr., 80, of Easton, MO, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2007 at his home.

He was born on March 11, 1927 to Andrew and Lillian Mae (Simpson) Pflugradt in St. Joseph, MO where he grew up and attended school.

On September 12, 1948 he was united in marriage to Eva M. Conlin of Newburgh, NY. Henry then served his country in the United States Air Force. After his honorable discharge, they returned to the Easton area where they made their home.

Henry retired from PIE Trucking and also had worked for numerous other trucking companies. He loved working with wood and carpentry, hunting, fishing, trap shooting and playing with his grandchildren.

He was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Easton where he had served on the church cemetery board, the American Legion Post #359 in St. Joseph, and the Teamster Union Local #41.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sherry Lyons; grandson, Kyle; brothers, Larry and Andy; and sisters, Lillian and Dorothy.

He is survived by his wife, Eva of the home; sons, Jim and wife, Pam, St. Joseph, John and wife, Kathy, Easton, Jerry and wife, Kim, Easton, Joe and wife, Sharon, St. Joseph, and Henry and wife, Lisa, Gower; daughters, Sandy Pflugradt, Easton and Susie McDowell and husband Eddie, Stewartsville; son-in-law, Leroy Lyons, Stewartsville; twenty grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren; brothers, Joe and wife Sharon, and Mike and wife, Rose all of Gower, several nieces and nephews other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 7^th at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower.

Burial: St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Easton

Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
